Travel Uniforms

Travel Team Uniforms must be purchased separately (3rd grade through 8th grade):

All participants in the travel soccer program are required to wear an official league uniform that includes a shirt, shorts, and socks. If a player is entering 3rd grade or is a new player to LYS travel soccer, then a uniform MUST be purchased. The cost of a uniform is not included in the cost of registration.

Uniforms were updated during the 2019-20 season and all past apparel has been retired. Players are required by the Boston Area Youth Soccer (BAYS) program to wear matching uniforms.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does my child need to wear to play soccer?

Participants in the travel soccer program (3rd through 8th grade or U9 through U14) are required to wear an official league uniform (shirt, shorts, and socks) that is purchased through LYS, as well as shin guards and cleats that can be purchased from any retailer.

We already have an LYS uniform from a sibling/friend, do I still need to purchase a uniform?

Uniforms were updated during the 2019-20 season and all past apparel has been retired. Players in the travel soccer program (3rd through 8th grade, or U9 through U14) are required by the BAYS program to wear matching uniforms which consist of a shirt, shorts, and socks. Frequently siblings are able to share shirts, except when a redundancy occurs on a team; therefore, assumptions about sharing shirts should not be made until a child’s number is confirmed. LYS assigns all shirt numbers to avoid duplication.

Can I purchase socks and shorts from another source?

All items for the uniform must be purchased through LYS. Participants in the travel soccer program (3rd through 8th grade, or U9 through U14) are required by the BAYS program to wear matching uniforms which consist of a shirt, shorts, and socks.

Participants in the in-town soccer program (pre-K through 2nd grade) should wear comfortable, loose clothing that is appropriate for playing soccer and does not have to be purchased through LYS.

I need a different size than what I purchased, can I make an exchange?

Any item that has been worn and any shirt that has been numbered cannot be exchanged; however, if the clothing has not been used, exchanges may be possible. Please do your very best to purchase the correct size at the time of purchase.

Can I get a refund?

Once your uniform or apparel is picked up, it cannot be refunded. Shirts that have been numbered are not refundable.

What about spirit wear?  (Lincoln Youth Soccer Sweatshirts)

LYS hooded sweatshirts are available to purchase for kids and adults!

Will my shirt come numbered?

Participants in the in-town program (pre-K through 2nd grade) do not have numbers assigned or affixed to their shirts.

Participants in the travel soccer program (3rd through 8th grade, or U9 through U14) will have their shirt numbered over the summer, if entering 3rd grade or playing in the U9 program; otherwise, families who join a travel team will need to bring their daughter or son’s shirt to Tricon Sports in Lexington to have their number affixed at no additional cost.
